Temperature-controlled transport has developed into a highly specialised service over recent decades.  It has become one of the basic links in the cool chain.

Since its establishment in 1955, Transfrigoroute International has professionally participated in all developments in this sector and has fulfilled the role of ensuring that the best possible quality has been achieved in all sectors.

Transfrigoroute International celebrated its 50^th anniversary in 2005.  This took place against a backdrop of efforts to provide valuable support for members, also in the enlarged EU, and to contribute towards the core objective of assuring food safety in an international context.  There is also the issue of creating comparable framework conditions for all stakeholders.  A lot remains to be done in this area.
